Porthleven Town Band has proudly been part of the community since its founding in 1866, supporting local traditions and bringing music to generations of residents and visitors. From performing at much-loved village events such as the annual Torchlight Procession to providing relaxed Sunday evening entertainment outside the Harbour Inn throughout the summer, we’ve become a familiar and cherished presence in the heart of Porthleven.

Following our recent promotion to the First Section, we continue to build on our musical successes, competing at the South West Brass Band Association Championships and the West of England Brass Band Association Championships in Torquay each year and at other local and national competitions and concerts. We’re excited about the future, committed to developing our players, and eager to share our progress with the wider community.
